I’m currently fighting a battle with someone who contracted with me for over 200 articles. Upon delivery he refused payment and then placed them on EzineArticles, after I had informed him he had no right to the use of my copyrighted material.

Frankly he didn’t seem to be bothered with my notice, so I filed a DMCA complaint with EzineArticles. It worked.

Now I know the other things I need to do when and if this happens again.

This is great advice, I never would have thought to do this. I’ve been the victim of ebook theft via paypal a few times already. Not fun.

Great post. Thanks for the DMCA letter example. I had my first run-in with someone who stole some content and published it on Blogger. I filed a complaint with Google using their online form which didn’t need an actual DMCA letter. Google shut them down within 48 hours. It was nice. Good to see you had luck with filing the letter!
