A lot of my customers and other newbies do not know how to ftp files to their server. This is a skill that anyone who owns domain names should acquire. It may seem complicated at first, but once you learn it, it really isn’t and you will then be able to upload a website or single files to a domain. This is a valuable skill to have if you have a lot of domains that you plan to develop.

It’s very simple to get a WordPress blog installed on a domain, using Fantastico in your Cpanel hosting interface, but if you want to upload a sales letter or minisite, you must use ftp to upload the files to the root directory of the domain.
