I’ve gotten so discouraged with Flippa that a couple of us have gotten together on a joint venture to start our own site to Buy and Sell Blogs. We’ll be offering a WSO next week for our launch, and we’ll be offering full sites, blog-in-a-box, PLR, Graphics and technical services such as installation. And that’s just the beginning! I actually think Sitepoint's screwup (and it is a screwup) will be good for the marketplace in the long run. At the moment Flippa is at a level way below the old Sitepoint - the name, the look, the level of activity is all fairly mediocre. I'd expect them to revert back, or go bust if they continue to be stubborn and think Flippa has a chance of succeeding in the long run. When they revert back you'll get the old (slightly tainted, but usable) marketplace to sell your site on. Due to the cockup though, you now have new places to sell sites... SiteDeal.org for one, and WF's sites for sale section - two that wouldn't have existed had SP not moved to Flippa. And more are being developed from what I heard. That http://www.sitedeal.org/ layout is awesome…I just registered. And plan to list my site’s there. It is so very user friendly. I hope all serious sellers and buyers get over there to register. I’ll email my list about it and tell them they can find me over there. Great job Steven & crew!

Extremely well-written Diva! There is no way I would sell a high-end site there to give them my earned $$$$$. They are not doing ANYTHING to justify those fee’s. I’m only going to sell my low-end sites and list them for a month just for advertising purposes only, build a list and sell my high-end away from them. What a joke, they should be ashamed of themselves. Poor design, bad domain name, HIGH FEE’S for what?….they really f’d up and people are pissed. I don’t care what kind of PR they do, the competition will get fierce now so they better get it together quick. They are the joke of the internet right now.

And why the hell is their blog hosted on WordPress and not their own domain? http:// flippadotcom .wordpress. com
